Falun Dafa Practitioners Hold Meditation Classes in Fiji

In March 2024, twenty practitioners from New Zealand traveled to Fiji to teach free Falun Dafa meditation classes to students and raise awareness about rights abuses in China. Local Falun practitioners in Fiji warmly welcomed them during their visit.

This eight-day visit saw them spread awareness in cities like Nadi, Lautoka, and Suva, visiting dozens of interested schools, churches, government organizations, businesses, and medical institutions along the way.

Students of all ages, with some as young as elementary school, were taught the five main exercises of the meditation practice.

The diverse group of practitioners was met with curiosity and hospitality wherever they went. They shared the benefits of Falun Dafa with locals, conducting sessions in schools and universities, where students and teachers alike found peace through the practice.

During their educational presentations at medical universities and institutions, the practitioners shed light on the disturbing practice of forced organ harvesting in China, which shocked medical professionals and government officials across multiple Fiji cities.

“My relative went to Beijing and worked there for several months on a joint project,” said an employee at a government organization after the presentation. “He said it was terrifying, they were indeed taking organs from living people. Many people who know the truth are scared to talk about it!”

The practitioners’ efforts prompted responses from the audience to take action against such human rights abuses ongoing in China today.

Around 200 police officers in Suva also showed interest in their cause and expressed support towards ending the persecution of Falun Gong, after encountering the practitioners by chance. Nearly every officer took flyers. Some officers also asked for additional materials.

As they departed Fiji, the practitioners left behind not just an introduction to Falun Dafa but also a call to action against injustice to thousands.
