Over the past year, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has unleashed a new campaign of transnational repression to discredit and sabotage Shen Yun Performing Arts and the Falun Gong community on U.S. soil. This initiative involves a joint venture between China’s Ministry of State Security and Ministry of Public Security, and is allegedly spearheaded by Chinese Minister of State Security Chen Yixin or even the very top of the CCP. To date, this illicit campaign has demonstrated an ability to weaponize American mainstream media, bait our government agencies, and take advantage of our judicial system, all to target Shen Yun. Yet, the ramifications extend far beyond Shen Yun and Falun Gong, striking at the very heart of American liberty and sovereignty.
