NEW WITNESS: 36 CONCENTRATION CAMPS, FALUN GONG BODIES USED AS “RAW MATERIALS”
NEW YORK (03-31-2006) — The Falun Dafa Information Center has received information from a third witness professing first-hand knowledge of concentration camps throughout China holding Falun Gong adherents, who are killed for their organs and cremated, with victims sometimes still alive. The source, identifying himself as a veteran medical doctor who has served in the Shenyang military zone, confirmed fears surrounding a concentration camp in the Sujiatun district of Shenyang city.
A total of some 36 similar camps exist throughout China, he says. The largest camp, codenamed “672-S,” is said to hold over 120,000 people, among whom are Falun Gong and other prisoners of conscience. “Falun Gong practitioners… are no longer regarded as human beings, but as raw materials for commercial products,” he told The Epoch Times. “The Chinese Communist Party’s Central Committee decided to treat Falun Gong practitioners as ‘class enemies’ and handle them in any manner that is economically profitable.”
“I witnessed a specially-dispatched freight train transferring over 7,000 people in a trip from Tianjin city to the Jilin area,” the source recalled. “It ran at night, guarded by the Chinese army. Everyone on board was handcuffed to specially designed handrails atop the ceiling, like rotisserie chickens.” “We must bring the full weight of the international community to bear on this matter,” says Falun Dafa Information Center spokesperson Levi Browde Browde. “We are calling on all governments and relevant organizations to step forward and ensure such an investigation is carried out.”

WOIPFG: HOSPITALS ADMIT ORGANS COME FROM FALUN GONG
BOSTON (03-30-2006) —The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) said on Thursday that its investigators had spoken with medical staff in several of China’s provinces, each of whom disclosed that organs being used in transplant surgeries had indeed come from imprisoned Falun Gong adherents. Below is an excerpt from the transcript of a conversation between an WOIPFG investigator and a doctor in Guangzhou City:
- Investigator: How long should we wait for a kidney transplant?
- Doctor: If you come over, you only need to wait for about a week.
- Investigator: Are there any from people who practice Falun Gong?
- Doctor: The ones we use here are all this type.

STATEMENT ON CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY’S DENIAL OF ORGAN TRAFFICKING
NEW YORK (03-28-2006) —According to a March 28 Associated Press report, the Chinese Communist regime has denied the existence of the Sujiatun concentration camp. We all wish the information were false. Extraordinary acts of evil have never been easy to believe – how could humans possibly do such things to each another?
Unfortunately, details disclosed by sources and an overwhelming body of supporting information suggests the fundamentals of the story are true. First, information about Sujiatun has come from multiple sources who have provided consistent accounts. Second, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has a well-documented practice of organ harvesting without prior consent, often from executed prisoners. And third, removal of organs from Falun Gong practitioners killed in custody has already been documented.
We urge journalists in Beijing and around the world to dig into the story, and include the facts of organ harvesting that are already widely known in your reports. We encourage you to find out what is really happening, and report the truth.

THE WASHINGTON TIMES: CHINA HARVESTING INMATES’ ORGANS, JOURNALIST SAYS
WASHINGTON (03-24-2006) —A Chinese journalist has uncovered a secret detention center in northern China that is being used by a hospital to harvest human organs… the prisoners used were members of the outlawed Falun Gong religious group. ‘This is murder, and murder sponsored by a state,’ said Mr. Jin [pseudonym]…The hospital is harvesting…kidneys, livers, and eye parts, he said. The organs are then sold to people, from both China and abroad…”

THE TORONOTO SUN: $25,000 FOR A LIVER
TORONTO (3-26-2006) —“It’s long been known that China ‘harvests’ the organs of people it executes, for sale…Considering that China ‘officially’ executes up to 4,500 people a year (critics claim the number is closer to 10,000)…it means lots of organs…As much as 90% of all ‘legal’ executions in the world are carried out in China—with the victim’s family even paying for the bullet and for the person’s accommodation on death row…If there’s money to be made from an ethically questionable practice, communist China will find a way to profit from it…[Falun Gong’s] unforgivable sin is that it’s often more popular than the Communist party, thus invoking persecution by Chinese authorities…China often convicts Falun Gong people for their beliefs, and apparently executes them for their organs… use of prisoners as guinea pigs, or as a supply to meet world demand, makes Nazi medical experimentation seem almost benign comparison.”

YALE DAILY NEWS: PROVENANCE OF ARTIFACTS REQUIRES DEEP SCRUTINY
NEW HAVEN (03-27-2006) —“In the case of ‘Bodies,’ the dilemma is…severe given the recent news, reported in the Epoch Times, that the Chinese government has built death camps for Falun Gong practitioners in order to engage in live organ harvesting. Are the paying viewers of the ‘Bodies’ exhibit unknowingly supporting such practices?”

REUTERS: U.N. ENVOY LOOKS AT FALUN GONG ALLEGATIONS
GENEVA (03-30-2006) —“The United Nations torture investigator said on Thursday he was looking into allegations by the Falun Gong group that thousands of its followers were being held at a Chinese ‘concentration camp’ and some had been killed. ‘I am presently in the process of investigating as far as I can these allegations,’ Manfred Nowak, U.N. special rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment told a news briefing.”
U.S. ATTENTION CRITICAL, BUT ASKING THE MURDERER TO INVESTIGATE MAKES NO SENSE
NEW YORK (04-03-2006) — On March March 31 deputy State Department spokesman Adam Ereli told reporters that the U.S. has asked the Chinese regime to investigate the claims about Sujiatun. According to Agence France Presse, when asked if the U.S. was also suggesting an international investigation, Ereli said: “No, we’ve raised it with the Chinese and urged them to investigate.”
“To expect the CCP to investigate is not unlike asking a murderer to investigate his own killings.” said Falun Dafa Information Center spokesperson Gail Rachlin. “The U.S. and governments around the world should urgently pressure the Chinese Communist Party to shut down these concentration camps and release all prisoners. An international investigation is what’s urgently needed precisely because the CCP is the one persecuting Falun Gong and making money off their organs.”
